For a successful direct transfer of fresh embryos, the recipient must be in good health and its cycle well synchronized with that of the donor. Asynchrony of 24 hours or more has a negative effect on conception.
To ensure good synchronisation and facilitate the process the same basic synchronisation program is usually applied to donors and recipients.
