Clinical signs of cystic ovarian disease

Clinical signs seen are dependent on the endocrine activity of the cyst.

Estrogenically active follicular cysts

  • hyperestrogenisation
  • nymphomania – permanent oestrus behaviour
  • mounting of other cows
  • decreased milk production
