Clinical signs of cystic ovarian disease
Clinical signs seen are dependent on the endocrine activity of the cyst.
Estrogenically active follicular cysts
- hyperestrogenisation
- nymphomania – permanent oestrus behaviour
- mounting of other cows
- decreased milk production
Progestagenically active follicular and luteal cysts
- cow is not observed in heat
- prolonged interoestrus interval
- anoestrus
