Folligon
Folligon has an activity which is broadly similar to Follicle Stimulating Hormone (FSH) and Luteinising Hormone (LH).
Composition
- Freeze dried product: PMSG (Pregnant Mare Serum Gonadotrophin), mannitol, disodium hydrogen phosphate 2aq.
- Diluent: water for injection.

Freeze dried product with diluent.
Indications
Females:
- anoestrus (oestrus induction and to increase ovarian activity leading to improved fertility (cows, rabbit, bitches, mink)
- superovulation (required for embryo transplantation cows, rabbit, deer)
- to improve fertility after progestagen oestrus synchronisation, to increase ovarian activity) (cows, goat, sheep, deer)
Males:
- Impaired spermatogenesis

* Anoestrus is often caused by inadequate management (feeding and housing). Therefor improvement of management is a pre-requisite for a successful treatment.

None. National regulations should be observed
Presentation
Folligon: vials of 1000 and 5000 IU together with solvent for reconstitution.
Chrono-gest PMSG: vials of 400, 500, 600, 700, 5000 and 6000 IU together with solvent for reconstitution.
Storage
Store freeze dried product at 8-15°C for and after reconstitution at 2-8°C. Protect from light.
Contra-indications
Rare anaphylactoid reactions may occur: adrenaline (1:1000) may be injected i.v. or i.m. when such symptoms appear.
